I’m a freelance writer and editor with a special interest in culture and wildlife.
Recently, I’ve been writing about assisted migration for BBC Wildlife, the threats to Somaliland’s ancient rock art for the New York Observer, training to be a Kilimanjaro guide for the Independent, and more.
I’ve also served as the editor of adventure travel magazine Wired For Adventure, where I launched the sustainable travel series “What it Takes”, detailing the lives of adventure tourism guides around the world, as well as the Wired For Adventure Podcast.
My career started at university, writing for the King’s Business Review and interning at anti-torture INGO REDRESS. There, I wrote campaigns and edited legal documents, which set me up perfectly to sub-edit for The Sun. Other publications have included The New Zealand Herald, The Dispatch, More To Her Story, Inked, Adventure Bike Rider, Human Rights Pulse, and more.
I’ve also been able to hone my multi-media skills, as a published photographer, editor and podcast host. I’ve hosted live discussions on digital rights and written scripts for educational anti-torture videos. You can find examples of that work here.
Please do get in touch if you’d like to collaborate on a project or just want to chat travel, adventure or writing (I’m also a burgeoning trapeze artist, avid reader and theatre-goer, bass player, and animal lover if those are more up your street)!
